Election Signs

Temporary Signs are a popular campaigning form for serious electoral candidates at the municipal, provincial and federal levels of government. The success of the signs is evident as most elected officials become repeat temporary sign users at time of re-election. Candidates should book as early as possible to avoid disappointment as the demand for election signs is always very high.

In general terms,

  • Election signs must be no larger than 3.0 square metres (4′x8″) in face size;
  • They can be erected on allowed City of Calgary property from the time the “Writ is dropped” and;
  • Must be removed within 36 hours of the closing of polls.
